More About Me
Designer and Builder
I have always enjoyed designing and making things, and my satisfaction in creating a working item using scientific or technological principles continues to this day. Even as a kid I worked on electronics projects and built various items for enjoyment.
During the curriculum for my undergrad and graduate degrees in Physics, I was also introduced to CAD, LaTeX, electronics (in greater detail), the Arduino, 3D printing, and other engineering skills that I subsequently used in various ways. I made many projects on the arduino, and eventually got a 3D printer. I am now very experienced with both, having applied these trades to everything from electronically-controlled telescopes to 3D printed sport model airplanes.
I also apply these skills to other contexts such as escape rooms and puzzle design, which are tasks that unify these skills very effectively, as I’ve always enjoyed the combination of creativity and intellectualism found in escape rooms. The same holds for designing them!
Whether you’re looking for a custom-made puzzle, a creation built after your own vision, or escape room services, shoot me a message! I’ve designed many different things from electronics and custom circuits to parts and puzzle components. I’d love to work with you!
CAD and 3D Printing Experienced
After thousands of hours and tens of thousands of feet of filament printed, I am still amazed, while watching each layer form one by one, that we have such a versatile and effective technology for creating parts that were designed minutes earlier. These advantages afford escape rooms stylish and thematically relevant designs, and they produce puzzles with endless possibilities.
Puzzle Fan and Collector
I’ve always loved puzzles, from small hand puzzles made of wood/metal/plastic, to larger puzzles and contraptions. I’ve seen some really clever designs and many different levels of difficulty. There are so many different ways to make something interesting and fun to solve!
C++ and Arduino Proficient
From hobby projects like coding a drone from scratch or an automatic camera focuser, to commercial designs in escape room puzzles, I’ve worked with the Arduino abundantly. Take advantage of the versatility of the microprocessor and make your escape room or puzzle modern and interesting!
